Are you wondering what to do …for the Metal Ox Year in 2021? You are in the right place, here are a few things you can do to bring in the new Metal ox year 2021.

The Metal Ox year just started on 2/3 according to Chinese astrology. If you are sensitive, you should already feel the shift! 

The Chinese New Year is almost here (February 12th) and many of you await new yearly recommendations for your home. 

What will the Metal Ox Year bring to us? 

I strongly believe the Metal Ox year will bring strength and clarity but also confidence in a slow-moving fashion. The year will take time to kick-off but will bring progress in consciousness and strength to fight for our values.  

Now, here are my main recommendations for 2021. I will describe the positive and negative sectors in your home, according to the Flying Stars method (not a method I use year round, because of its complexity and its changing nature, but I find it useful at the beginning of each Chinese year or when moving into a new home). 

During the year of the Metal Ox, the Flying Stars will make apparent that the following areas are best to avoid/ not activated: the North, the South East, the North West, the South West and the East.

The traditional way of not disturbing these areas is by avoiding drilling, construction or renovations, or playing loud music in those sectors of your home.  But if you have to build or landscape in any of these sectors, you can place a wind chime outside the home, near the area that is being renovated or relandscaped, you can also select a good date to start the renovation.

See below the lucky and unlucky directions for 2021 according to the Flying Stars. 

It should be noted that people living in apartments will have to take their compass directions, and combine some traditional Feng Shui with front door Feng Shui. For example, if I live in an apartment and my front door is in Career, but also in the South, some cures might seem less intuitive to you. Use the compass to guide you and while you can keep your front door Feng Shui the same, you will just add the cures mentioned below in the right cardinal directions. 

Positive areas in the Metal Ox year 2021 (activate with a water feature, crystals, mirrors, chimes, décor):

• West – 8 Annual star (gold objects, no fire or candles, wealth and luck symbols, a rose quartz)
• South- 1 Annual star (gold objects, no fire or candles, Water and Metal elements, Boat representation, a golden toad representing wealth, a Wealth bowl)
• Center – 6 Annual star (decorate with wealth symbolism, crystals, metallic objects)
• North East – 9 Annual star (decorate with wood element)

Negative areas in the Metal Ox year 2021 

You can place a saltwater cure in those areas, which will help to absorb negative energies. In addition, here are a few more remedies:

• North (Sickness star) – 2 Annual star (place 6 Chinese coins tied in a row, a saltwater cure or a singing bowl)

South East – 5 Annual star (No fire at all. Instead, display a round metallic object, or decorate with grey and white colours)

East – 4 Annual star -This is really good for Exam Luck for students.
